Snob Studio is built on the belief that small brands deserve big energy.

I’m Michaela—a brand strategist, website whisperer, and word nerd who believes your business should look and sound like you. As a small business owner myself, I get how overwhelming it can feel to stand out online while juggling everything else. After two decades in marketing, events, and copywriting, I realized most small businesses don’t need a full agency—they need clarity, confidence, and a digital presence that feels honest, bold, and easy to manage.

So I started Snob Studio to bring big-brand polish to small-but-mighty businesses—especially here in Hawai‘i.

What I actually DO

I’m not all about techie SEO and conversion jargon (unless you want that). Instead, I help you…

  • Get clear on what makes your business stand out and help you develop messaging so your customers “get it”

  • Build (or revise) your website so it’s stylish, easy to update, easy to find, and speaks to your people

  • Set up smart tools (yep, even AI) to save time and streamline things

Whether you’re serving up the best pastries in Kaimukī, designing a line of killer beachwear on North Shore, or offering plumbing services in Hilo, I help you show up with purpose, personality, and maybe even a little snob flair.

What It’s Like to Work Together

This is a collaboration. I’ll ask a lot of questions, bring ideas to the table, and make sure the end result feels right—not just right now, but six months from now too.

I don’t do jargon, upsells, or bloated timelines. I do good design, great copy, clear plans, and working with people who have the aloha spirit. (That’s you?!)

Let’s Talk Story

A few personal notes so you can know me a bit better.

  • Born in the frozen North (Minnesota), but I’ve called Hawai‘i home for 13 years—and yes, I’ve gone full Island girl.

  • My house is run by Lolo, a very vocal and highly opinionated cat.

  • Amateur chef, full-time flavor snob. Ask me about my jerk pesto—it’s a vibe.

  • I gravitate toward projects with real flavor and heart—the kind that make people feel something.
